Agnes Schroeder also named our ALA unit #537 as beneficiary of memorials made in her memory.
Out of that, the Education Committee has created a scholarship in her name, furthermore to be named the Agnes Schroeder Memorial Scholarship. Her kind acts and devotion to the ALA have and will continue to live on beyond her death.
This scholarship, dedicated tonight in her name, was established in 2002 to honor Agnes Schroeder. Just as Agnes would have wanted, the scholarship seeks to enhance the aims and purposes of the American Legion Auxiliary by assisting qualified members of our unit, the H. A. Todd American Legion Auxiliary, Unit 537, in their educational pursuits.
I would also like to take this time to thank this unit. Our unit has displayed our dedication to raising up citizens that hold to the high aims and purposes of the ALA…
